Our Process | Rehoboth Roots

Although we add no other ingredients to our tinctures besides the MCT oil, the process between leaf and oil is much lengthier than you may think. Read below for a more in depth overview on our process.

FARM

We carefully chose our farm due to their meticulous nature of growing hemp. Hemp is a hyperaccumulator plant, which means it absorbs everything from the soil, both toxins and nutrients. The farm we chose does regular soil testing, does not use pesticides and only uses natural methods to grow our hemp.

EXTRACTION

Any good vendor knows that the extraction process makes or breaks the quality of the CBD. The best ways to extract CBD is CO2 or an alcohol variant. The alcohol variant we use to extract CBD is ethanol. Ethanol gives us what we need from the CBD crude without leaving any traces or toxins.

After the extraction process, you're left with full spectrum oil. It is then refined further using HPLC, or High Performance chromatography to remove the THC molecules, leaving us with broad spectrum oil. This oil can then be refined again to give us our CBD isolate.

LABS

Our CBD is tested at every step of the process. As a plant (hemp), as an extract, and as a tincture. Plants are tested at the time of harvest so that they can be organized by cannabinoid content. They are then sent to the extraction room. We test our extract material upon arrival and then formulate our tinctures and other products from there. Those batches are then tested again to ensure their individual potency and homogeneity. Once we are happy with those results, we bottle and ship our products to you!
